Interpretive and Educational Projects

Without museums, exhibits and guides to explain Lassen Volcanic National Park, the park experience would be lessened. Through its funding of interpretive and educational projects, the Lassen Park Foundation informs visitors and school groups about the park and inspires interest in and thought about science, nature and history. Here are some ways we’ve done that:

  • A documentary film about the national park was created for the visitor center
  • An interpretive guide of backcountry trails was developed
  • Interns are funded to help park visitors better experience the national park
