Cultural Resource Development

People have influenced Lassen Volcanic National Park for thousands of years. The Lassen Park Foundation provides funding and leadership to study and preserve the park’s cultural legacy. This includes grants for archeology, interpretive arts, and historic structures and sites throughout the Lassen region. Here are some examples:

  • Historic park furnishings have been inventoried and assessed so that the park’s cultural heritage can be preserved
  • Cultural restoration has been underwritten
  • Exhibits have been created for park museums
